Didn't see this thread until well after dark, so would you accept some FIRE pics?

We had a campfire going on the back porch. Something got tossed in there that was putting some color into the flames, so the boys grabbed the cameras and started trying to catch the colors. Yeah, they got some of the colors, but some of the shapes were more interesting.

                How about a seahorse:

                or a fire-breathing dragon?

Too far off the thread topic? Let me know, I'll remove them.

                      What a cool picture!

What I meant by "I don't get it" was that I wasn't sure what he was seeing in the shadow on the first picture.

                          It's called PURE LUCK.

The technique involved is to set the camera on the rapid-fire shutter setting, which takes about three pictures per second, then hold the button for several seconds.

We had two cameras going. One was only in use for 11 minutes, but took 113 pictures.
The other camera was in use for a total of 40 minutes and took 124 pictures.
We just went through the pictures looking for anything interesting.

As mentioned earlier, though, they were trying to capture the colors.

Agemax, sorry 'bout the thread hi-jack, now let's get back to those spooky shadow pics.
