Cleaning/polishing hard to reach places?
So I've been cleaning up my side covers with the ole bench grinder and been making some good progress. I'm having trouble getting some of the harder to reach corners though. Any tips or other solutions? Or do I just have to keep working it with the wheel? I've thought about trying a dremel, but the polishing tips arn't to heavy duty and I'm worried about the wire brushes scratching to much. Thanks.Tags: None -
It's the dremel or your finger with a rag. No easy way to get in those little corners.79 GS1000S

Try a bit of scotchbrite with whatever polish your using for the tight spots, it"ll clean it quicker than a rag. Your left with clean metal, only a bit roughed up, then follow up with your polish and a rag for final. The scotchbrite will aid in removing the corrosion and oxidation and make the final polish easier.Comment
