    aftermarket seat

I just bought a project ('82 gs1100gk). The touring stuff is long gone and I'm thinking a sport/semi-cafe. I was looking at a Corbin seat for a gs1100e. Corbin didn't seem to know if it would fit on a gk. Any insight or suggestions?

The 1100E and 1100GK seats are vastly different.

Absolutely NO chance of one fitting the other.

I'm in the same boat as you friend. I'm thinking about having my seatpan made into something new at the local upholstry shop

Thanks, that is what I suspected. My seat pan is totally rotted and I wanted to avoid a traditional cafe-type seat. I'm on the other side of 50 and don't think me and a cafe seat would get along.

yeah perhaps a G model seat would work but I also have a GL here and I know it doesnt work.

You will need a seat that fits a G model for the GK.
