decals after clear coat???

Hi, I have a 1983 GS1100E. The gas tank will be painted soon. how was it done from new decals on before clear coat or clear coat over the decals. thanks, Joe

Decals under clearcoat is the original. You need to be cerrtain that newer decals can handle the chemicals in the clearcoat. It would he a nasty way to muck up a paintjob.

decals UNDER clearcoat....

hi i have sprayed a few bikes and cars... never in 2 pac.... but accil... get an extra decal and spray over with clear coat you are going to use,,,its a cheap way to check if its O.K. rather than stuff up your paint job... regards oldgrumpy
