    Seat cushion pads

Not the ones for your butt, the pads between the seat and the frame.

I am reworking my 1978 GS750 to swap out the old seat with a pretty sexy new cafe seat. My bits 'n pieces collection includes 2 standard seats.

On the left hand side, I have repurposed the original hinge pieces to use the intregral hinges on the frame. To level out the seat pan, I need to fill the space on the right side. The stock pans have two rubber feet for this purpose, but I cannot determine how they are fastened to the seat pan. They are part no. 5 in this diagram.

Before I butcher the original seat, does anyone have a clue as to how they are attached? Looks like they are formed with stems that plug into the seat pan. If so, they won't help me. What other materials are good for this?

    TIA

They just have little rubber "arrowheads" that smoosh into holes in the pan.
