Check out this GS450, unbelievable yet Awesome!

So I was wandering the web yesterday & came across this GS450 that utterly just put me in awe, I cant believe how a person can take a plain jane GS & turn it into a modern custom looking bike like this, thought it was a Harley when I first glanced at it then I was like well ill be a SOB, its a GS!!

So here it is, check it out. Gimme your thoughts & feedback on it. Not mine obviously but Im interested to see what yall think.




Just amazing what a couple bags, new fender, handlebars & a seat will do so far as the overall "LOOK" of a bike. I wish I knew enough about bikes to do this here. Like the rear fender looks wider than your typical GS chromed fender, how do you find these or whatever, its just stuff like this that makes me wish i knew more about the hobby,lol.

If you want a Harley, buy a Harley. Why waste a bunch of money trying to make a bike something it isn't?

looks really uncomfortable to me. maybe moving the bars back a bit may make a difference, but yes, very nice and clean

If it had a functional set of handlebars on it, I'd say it was a nice job of customizing a bike.

Bars that high make a motorcycle essentially unrideable for more than a few miles, and unsafe for any distance. A standard set of GS "E" bars on it would make it perform as well as it looks.

Not to mention, ape-hangers are illegal in several states/provinces.....grips cannot be above the rider's shoulder height, IIRC. So unless that happens to be Shaq's bike......

I think they did a nice job. Either way you build it I can appreciate good work and the effort that went into it. A different bar and some spoked wheels might finish it off. Kinda reminds me of the new GZ250.

Someone does nice work. But some different bars on it and it would be a really cool little scoot. Ape hangers are the bane of motorcycles.

When you say GS "E" are you referring to these? GS "E" handlebars

These look to be about right:




I put handlebars from a GS750E (it got Daytona bars) onto a GS550L and the transformation in handling, comfort, and the overall rideability of the bike was remarkable.

In order to truly be in control of a bike, you need to have a little bit of forward lean onto the handlebars, otherwise you are "pulling" instead of "pushing" input into the bars. You have far more control applying positive pressure onto something than negative.

Plus, your lower back will thank you after a couple hundred miles.
