Thanks for posting that pic. Mine is missing the whole lock/latch mechanism. The p.o. apparently removed it to use the hole for routing wires to the vetter trunk. I have 2 threaded studs on the bottom rear of the seat pan. I guess this should have the bracket that the latch hooks too. I need a lock and bracket both. The p.o. also gutted my gas cap so it bounces around like the seat. Must've hated using keys.

Those studs would be for the seat latch 'striker'.

Why don't you look up the seat at a parts supplier like bikebandit.com? They've got wonderful diagrams that will answer your question, and show all the parts you're missing.

I think I've figured out all I need now. I found the striker off ebay this morning for 6 bucks, but the locks are all pretty high priced. Except for one that comes without a key... I don't know if theres any way to disassemble those seat locks or to to re-key the lock. I'd rather get the lock with a key. People are selling sets of ignition/gas cap/helmet lock/seat locks which would be nice since they'd all use the same key. If anybody here had a seat lock for the right price I'd buy it. I imagine someone may have one with all the custom cafe looking seat jobs.

You mean #15 I assume. And it does have to fit an 1100g (for me to buy it). But this number does cross reference which I think is what you a intending to say. Thanks for that link all the one I found were over 50 bucks!

It looks like someone just bought that seat latch. I wonder who that might have been?

It was either someone following this thread who really wanted to be a jerk... Or it was me
