    Pit replica seat cover

Hi all, and happy new year. I thought i would share my experience of pit replica seat covers, superb service and fast delivery from TC. I bought this 78 gs1000 seat on the bay to refurb. After a blast and a bit of welding a coat of black paint and the new cover i think it looks great. What do you guys think? Im having trouble uploading more than one pic, oops.

Yup, that's a brand new seat. Well done, gotta love pit replica. Usual BC weather, damp and over cast, not the best riding conditions but there's a bunch still getting out.

Thanks for that. I have owned it since 1999 and over the years have stripped it all down even the engine and gearbox. it has a 1085 wisco kit and i cleaned the ports a bit, and jetted up the carbs. Question what do you think of the air filter?. Look hard before you answer.

Looks alot like mine, I mean all I can see is the chrome cover on the air box, except it looks wider, like a G model.
                            Here's mine for comparison.

Now thats a very very nice gs1000 too!. You hit the nail square on the head with the answer to my puzzler. It is a G air filter, i could not get the correct one so i cut the front out, welded in tubes and made rubber sleeves then pushed the air box onto the carbs. I now have a plastic box i made which drops in where the original filter should be. Handy storage space. I cant wait to fit my new seat yours looks fantastic!.
