Wouldn't take nearly as long if I had to do it again.

Why does this pop into my head when I look at that cover?

Stellar job. I have a NOS points cover that is going on while I try to do something similar to your work. You have just provided me with ample motivation.

So just to clarify....You went from 80 to 400, nothing in between?

And the 15 hour learning process.....well worth it!!!

You know, I did hit it with the two pads from this kit in between. Forgot about that.

            Thanks big d.

Go big or go home is what I say. I cant stand getting it shiney and have those scratches in it.

Everybody in the family was celebrating when I finished. It was like I brought a new puppy home.

Based on the dozens of pieces that I've done, it'll take between six and eight hours total time. Getting the gouges and deep scratches out takes no time. The proper progression of grit useage and taking time is key. It takes time and there's no other way.

I'm guessing that now that I know the process that's about how long it would take me.
