    Vetter GS1000L bracket help

    Does anyone know what other Windjammer fairing brackets will fit a 1979 GS1000L ?
    I keep getting conflicting reports... from "78-79 GS1000 only" to "almost any 70's Suzuki". The 'search' here doesn't give much help.

    I'm about to buy a nice WJ V without a bracket.

    1978 KZ1000C1 Police - GONE !
    1983 GPZ750, aka ZX750A1 - restored, fresh paint... Gave it back, it was a loaner !!!

      I have one that came off my previous GS 850 which if memory serves me, it was an '81.
      If you need me to do any measuring for you, I can. Just let me know.

          That would be great!
          Re-painting my gas tank is taking more time than I thought, so the fairing project is on hold for a while.
          And let me repeat myself again... Does any one else > know < if any other Vetter brackets, made for other bikes, will fit my GS?

              I know that the same bracket will fit a 81 850L and a 80 850/1000G.

              83 Honda VT500FT Ascot (three of them)
              81 GS650G for the wife.
              82 Suzuki GS850GL Bought it 3 times, sold it twice, then traded for a nice 82 GS1100G AND a 93 Honda 750 Nighthawk, even WOW!

                  now ... does anyone know if a 80 1000G and a 79 1000L take the same bracket ?
                  and a new twist...
                  can a Winjammer SS fit into a 2010 4 dr civic back seat or trunk ? the faring is 2 hours each way. I don't want to get there and ... "oops".
