    Polishing Carbs raised letters

I've been busy polishing my BS34's and I'm wondering if anybody has any tips on how to make the space in and around the raised Mikuni lettering on the diaphragm covers shine. Suggestions please ........

    Thanks,
    Dave

dremmel tool with a tapered buffing bit. OR, you could try a Q-tip chucked into your drill.

Autosol and a really rough terry washcloth works wonders.

Sand the letters off before polishing.

Buffing wheel from multiple angles works well.

                Steve,
You are a little anal and you have too much time on your hands. I'm sorry, I had to beat upon you for two reasons. 1. They look incredible. 2. I don't have the patience to do it that well.

Nah, the carbs are no problem at all, after all, they can be seen.

"Anal" is when you polish the breather cover,

                  the cam chain tensioner

                  and the cam bearing caps.

Can you get Flitz etc. in 5gal. pails?

                        Steve,
It's fairly popular down here. Not much difference between Flitz, Wenol, Simichrome, autosol etc. A little bit of crap out of the tube and generous amounts of elbow grease!l

You are taking me too seriously; The remark about buying polish in 5gal. buckets was a compliment on your beautiful machine.
