Darn good looking bikes going on in this thread.
I've always said, "anyone with a basic tool set can restore a bike to original but it takes real imagination and work to make one into something it's not".
FTW!
Keep em coming.Comment

Wow - thanks guys! (blushes) I am pleased that you like it! I love my bike and it's not THAT modded, although I did cut the rear frame off to add the little loop under the back of the seat. I also cut of a lot of little tabs that side panels and things attached to. The taillight is Japanese and I got it from Modern Motorcycles in Collingwood (Melbourne Australia). They have an ebay store and have some beautiful stuff. I got the indicators, taillight, headlight, rear fender and a few other bits and pieces from them via ebay.
Here's another view of the tail:

Actually I have replaced the taillight with a similar one in polished aluminium because I felt the rear end needed a touch of bling to lighten it up visually. But I may put that taillight back on - it's really cool.Comment

Nicely done, my favorite here, mostly because it has a nice look and retained a lot of originallity, hang that chrome front fender in the garage and get another one to paint, match the paint scheme of your tank and cowl, I think you'd be surprised at how much more pop it will have.Comment

Beautiful bike, Danso.[although those rearsets make my knees ache, lol.]
Did you do the exhaust? Any chance of a clip so we could hear it on the track?2@ \'78 GS1000Comment
