      Darren and muyfuerte, you have my dream bike! The 1981 Suzuki GS 1000 GL is the bike Jesus would ride.

      In Suzuki code, 1981 = X, which is the first letter in the word Christ (in Greek... hence X-mas)
      1000 = 10 x 10 x 10, a trinity of a perfect number.
      GS = "God's Son"
      GL = "God's Love"

        I will never sell it now... that's deep... I am trying to change the speedometer on this bike... It went awry and I bought a "new" one... from a used one... I hope I can replace it...

                Unfortunately only canvas, but does fit enough gear for a weekend away.

                      /\Tidy. Do you run that bike with no air filtration at all? Curious why you switched L & R forks to have the calipers out front?

                        I have some custom velocity stacks for it now, and have also corrected the fork issue lol.

                          Did that bike start life as an "L"? If so, did you replace the triple clamps when you changed the fork tubes?

                          Getting rid of the leading-axle forks without also changing the triples will slow down the steering, making it harder to handle.

                          .

                            Yeah I replaced the triples, everything is from a katana on the front end.
