Pedda
They are called GSX 1135 over here. Never new they were fitted with rubber mounts. The stocker I butchered for that project did not have any, so we found another difference between the markets. That appears to be a 1150 motor, which buzzes noticeably more than a 1100. What do they call them in Europe GSX?
Not sure over there, but over here all the 1150's came with rubber mounts to quell the buzzing.
When I transplanted my 1150 engine into my '83 Kat frame, I rode for awhile like this noticing the excessive buzzing through pegs, bars, everywhere basically. I had a local machine shop graft the rubber mounts onto the stock brackets.
Supposedly it comes from bigger wristpins than the 1100 used.Comment

Nice article on the Katana,
Japanese streetbikes of the '70s and '80s were do-it-all machines that were almost all function and very little flash. READ MORE...
Hope this thread works for all you Kat lovers/owners out there!
I met Ken awhile back, purchased a 550 roller from him, and other parts in the past, and have seen the collection...very nice indeed!Comment

Thanks! The Kat is my passion and the Buffalo is my addiction! For me a stock Katana is sublime and ultra rare. The Buffalo represents everything I would like to modify on the Big Kat but will NOT in the pursuit of purity/originality. The modified GT 750 is a RIOT to ride and own! A stock Katana is elegant in my eyes and pride in ownership is off the charts. I love all Vintage Katanas but covet the ones most original as they are the most rare. The Katanas represented here are fantastic modified and original!
