Hi, I am late to the party so I have a few questions. You are using spray cans? Enamel? What brand? How many cans of paint, how many of clear? Looking to get started on my T over the winter.

I used Plasticote (I think) automotive enamel. (a Chrysler shade of silver) 3 coats. Then SprayMax 2k High gloss clear, also 3 coats. It's a 2 part clear in the same aerosol can. I got it from here: http://www.repaintsupply.com/pd_2_part_2k_aerosol.cfm

Thanks, took a long time to decide between silver, or the fail safe black. Eventually I'm going to add the original graphics scheme in a like a charcoal gray...'83 GS 1100T

I am going to repaint my 81 1100E Silver with Charcol Gray stripes and either Black pinstripes or Suzuki Blue pinstripes.

I wasn't so sure about the silver, but now the more I look at it the more I love it.
The D&D came with the bike. I did however do a google search on them not long ago, and they are very available, and very expensive. I think D&D has a website you can buy direct from? Very loud, very throaty.'83 GS 1100T

Just the opposite for me. Black is too easy to shoot. That's half the reason I went with silver. Lol'83 GS 1100T
