Hi, I am tidying up a gs850g. eg painting the frame and motor. Does anybody know if the cylinder head and barrels were originally painted silver or bright alloy. If they were painted what paint should I use. Thanks

What year is the bike and where are you located?

Welcome to the forum Lionel.
You'll find that VHT high heat "universal aluminum" is a go to for a lot of guys. I couldnt find it locally so I went with duplicolor aluminum color engine enamel.
