What will remove them? I tried chrome cleaning/rubbing compound, sos pads, another compound called bar keepers friend.

I've attached a buffing wheel, something somewhat coarse, to my angle grinder, my big one!, and with some black rouge it cleaned it up pretty well. Nothing 9000 rpm can't fix.Comment

If you don't mind the brushed chrome look, you can use scotchbrite red pads, but it will dull the shine a little.Comment
