GS1000s fairing on 82 GS1100GL

I was thinking about adding this fairing to the bike. Its the Wes Cooley model. Has anyone done this? I know this is a cruiser but the route I am taking with the refresh is tilted more towards the sport side.

Having never seen it before...put some lower bars and the fairing on the bike and be a trend setter.

Bars are already on the way so I have been looking for something to spruce up the front along with getting some wind protection.

Post pics if you do go with that set up. I have toyed with the idea myself but haven't commited to it yet.

I've seen the S fairing ona couple different models, mainly sport models.

It would be interesting to see if it works on a cruiser model.

My gut tells me that a lot of modifications would be needed to make it look right.

Had a replica fairing on a CBX a couple years ago and thought it looked good.

I think that is the fairing I cut up to put on a 74 CB550 a couple of years ago. I hate to say it but I got it for $10. Same thing?




That CBX is awesome BTW. All CBX are awesome. One of these days.......
