    painting anodized aluminium?

Any special tricks to painting anodized aluminium? Self etching primer? What if it is a higher-temp application like a brake rotor center? Thanks in advance!

just rub it over with fine wet and try same as you would bare aluminium. primer it and spray it.

i wouldn't class a brake rotor center as a high temperature application
    1978 GS1085.

Just remember, an opinion without 3.14 is just an onion!

self etching primer should be used on aluminum but if you don't have luck adhering to anodized aluminum, soaking oven cleaner over the piece will loosen or remove anodizing

Yeah, you might have a hard time getting it to stick, but bare aluminum isn't much better since it forms aluminum oxide on contact with air, which paint doesn't stick to. I've had the best luck with automotive wheel paint, but that's it.
