Thanks for the compliments guys. I'm pretty pleased with how it turn out too. SVSooke, when you do your's if you want the stock EF upper fairing decals Bdesigns.ca back in Ontario will make up a set for the same price as the ES decals. Brian there was a great guy to deal with and total time from first email to decals at my door was about 10 days. About $30.00 total for a pair, shipping, taxes, setup all in to my door.Originally posted by SVSooke View PostPuts my 85 EF to shame right now Sandy.Rode it though some of that saline stuff they put on the roads here in the winter and didn't wash it off right away. It's evil stuff! That and bad paintwork by yours truly has left her looking sad

Not in person but I have sent him info of the progress and a couple of the finished bike. He's seen my GS1000 and that was the main reason I got it. He wanted it to go to a good home and he has standing offer to come and ride it anytime. I kept calling it his bike and after the last set of pictures he said it's now my bike.Originally posted by dorkburger View PostSandy, I noticed that pic in your signature recently. Took me a second to realize what was meant by the matching blue.... Actually the paint project was shelved when I discovered some mechanical issues that needed attention (clutch/oil pump gear). Panels and fender are still mismatched....Always seems to go that way with my bike.....just when I think I can address cosmetics, mechanical items need attention....Now i need to do fork seals. Thats the bikes better side. The other has a giant dent in the gas tank, and a black mid panel.Originally posted by Sandy View PostWow! Looks like you found a good match for the blue. Rob, I like the sound of the Yoshi, plus its quiet enough for late night riding.
Thanks for the kind comments.Last edited by dorkburger; 07-14-2015, 09:40 PM.sigpic

To add...after some looking around, I found out the paint code is 12f. Candy Alpine Blue. As in base coat then the candy topcoat. I hear tell that candies are tricky. I have no paint equipment or compressor, but Color Rite has rattle cans....at $33 a pop.
I still want to try at some point though. I think the candy blue is a beautiful color. It really pops in person.Last edited by dorkburger; 07-14-2015, 09:24 PM.sigpic

I would rather trust my bike to a technician that reads the service manual than some backyardigan that THINKS HE KNOWS how to fix things.
