Have a set on order for my first gen SV. Apparently a fairly popular set of bars for those "of a certain" age with the SV, or for those wanting a bit more of an upright riding position.

    Look good on your bike.

Looks great, Rock. I should be replacing my handlebars early next month (I'm in the middle of moving. sad face). The stock L bars are so uncomfortable. :\

I did that bar swap twenty years ago on my 650G and its still a great setup today. I didn't need to swap cables but the brake lines were too long and did not rout to my satisfaction....soooo....this is a great time for you to swap out those too-long floppy rubber brake lines for new braided stainless steel lines. Probably you'll need a custom installation. I got a bike shop to fabricate my setup. The stopping power with these lines is amazing.

I was just going to order some brake lines from here. http://www.spieglerusa.com/brakes/cy...line-kits.html
They have different sizes I am just not sure how long to get them.

I think you will really like the bars. The bike feels completely different to ride now. I really like them.

I think I would contact them and tell them what you're doing. They may be able to suggest something.

Just installed my bars tonight, seems like I will have to reroute the choke and clutch cables for sure, and the front brake line has a funky bend now. But otherwise I am loving the change! I'll post a thread with pics when it's all done

I just pulled the trigger earlier this evening on black Daytonas!

Along with another rear Shinko 712, I have almost 6K on the one that is still attached and tonight was the first time it was a bit slippery in the mist.

Then to get free shipping I also ordered a Pirelli MT43 rear trials tire for my dual sport. Got a week in the woods coming up!

It was exciting when I was a kid getting new shoes, and I get the same feeling today getting them for the bikes.

I'll post pics when I get the new gear on 're!

If you get a chance could you measure your tach cable and tell me how long it is? My new gauges and oil cooler have mine stretched too far.

Let me know how you re rout the cables. I was thinking of just getting new braided cables and brake lines since the ones on my bike are sol old. Glad you like the bars.
