I hat the look of my boxy fuel tank. Does anybody know if a 1979 GS1000SN tank will fit or if there is an after market tank with a smoother, rounder look?

Not sure going that way, but I went the other way and put an '80 - '81 1100E tank on an early GS1000E, it fit perfectly and looked good. If you weren't an experienced Suzuki GS connoisseur you wouldn't know it wasn't original.
You may have a problem with the petcock hitting the carburetor or air box. -
If the shipping didn't cost so much, I would love to trade a Cooley tank for a Whale tank. Good luck finding one closer to where you live.
