Fitting a peanut tank GS450
Has anyone fit a harley peanut tank onto the 450? It appears that I would have to cut out 2 parts of the frame to fit it?Tags: None -

Why to make a bobber of course; rip snorting 450 with rear frame rail chopped.Ed

1) Hell no
2) Think very long and hard before cutting the frame in any way if you value your health and well being. If you absolutely have to have that tank it is far safer and easier to modify the tank to fit the frame than the other way around.
Tough crowd here. I like it.
Once OP is done cutting out the useful parts of the frame around the steering head it won't be able to carry any front braking loads anyway.

I had almost forgotten how much fun it is to ride a bike with a wobbly frame. Thrill a minute on a road with bumps or curves.Comment

Why not just mount a pair of hamster water bottles where the stock coils are mounted? No frame cutting involved and the same fuel capacity.
