Cleaning up the area under the seat

So I would like to ditch the side covers and clean up the area underneath the seat so that it looks something like this:

But I don't know where all the stuff that's under there has gone. I understand the airbox has been replaced with exposed element filters. But where is the rest of the "stuff" located? Battery? Wiring? Heat sinks, or whatever those are? Fuses? ETC? If anyone can point me to a write up or a post detailing something like this it would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks!

Maybe can drill a hole in the frame and run wires down the tubes with the aid of a fish tape. Those super tiny lithium ion batteries can go almost anywhere.

I would rather trust my bike to a "QUACK" that KNOWS how to fix it rather than a book worm that THINKS HE KNOWS how to fix it.

        Welcome !!

I have a suggestion. You really should learn what all those "things" are and what they do before you go rearranging them.

        Just my 2 cents.....

At least part of what you can do to "clean it up" is to tell us what bike you are starting with.

The bike in the picture appears to be an '82 850GL, but it's obviously not yours, or you would be bragging about it, not asking about it.

          What do you have?
