    Gas Tank Options?

Now that I have my bike back together, I'm realizing two things.

    1. The pingel petcock from the tank is hitting my K&N filters, so I have to run these Uni's for now.
    2. The tank is ugly as sin.

What options are there for custom tanks? I have an idea what i'm looking for. It'd be a tank with this shape: http://nobaffles.files.wordpress.com...9/img_1239.jpg

Here is my bike as-is: http://i.imgur.com/UNMYZ4i.jpg

This bike is really limited on tanks because of the triple back bone :-( I was having same problem..needless to say I ended up chopping up my frame and going to a single back bone

I put a 750L tank on my 80 1100 L, the same tank as the 1100 except the gas valve is in front of the carbs and gives me a reserve position. If you want something like in your picture go to a salvage yard and find a Yamahammer tank, there are no other Suzuki tanks that bolt in.

First, where did you find a 750L tank with a gas valve infront of the carbs and is it 52mm thread spacing like the 1100L? This is exactly what I need. Second, what the heck is a yamahammer? Some specific type of yahama?

I bought the tank on EBay, new old stock shipped for $50. The original tank physically is the same with the exception of the fuel valve location which is moved forward. The 750L tanks show up in the for sale on occasion, or there is always EBay.

I have a spare that I am not sure that I want to part with.

A yamahammer just means Yamaha. Send me your e mail and I will send you a pic of the tank on the 1100.

Gust - I was looking at 750L tanks and all i've seen have a fuel valve in the same location as the 1100. My email is yoshisakan@gmail.com
