    Is my bike a gs1000g or gs1000gl?

This seems like a strange question but i don't have any definite markings on my bike to suggest if it is a G or a GL. Who knows the difference? I see pics of a GL and they look the closest, but you tell me.

Looks like a GL to me

    1980 GS1000GT (Daily rider with a 1983 1100G engine)
1998 Honda ST1100 (Daily long distance rider)
1982 GS850GLZ (Daily rider when the weather is crap)

Darn, with so many daily riders it's hard to decide which one to jump on next.

Yep, that's an '81 1000GL, no mistake. Teardrop tank (larger than the '80), stepped seat, chrome rear fender (missing), chrome front fender, leading axle fork, round front master cylinder reservoir, 6" chrome headlight and mounting ears, aluminum rear peg mounts ('80 mounts were part of the steel frame).
