    My Stockish Paint Job

    A friend painted my 1100G. He said I could get the best deal if I chose 2 colors from paint that he had. It looks almost stock although the color that is supposed to be charcoal/silver is more like silver/champagne. I think the name of the paint was dessert beige. I need to spruce up my seat, polish my cases (I'm doing that with a spare set) and generally detail the bike but here is what it looks like so far. I have badges for the side covers and emblems for the stator and ignition ordered.

      I think that color combo looks better than the stock colors. I'm considering something similar for mine.

        Thanks for the compliments. Yeah, it seems convenient for me to say I like it better than stock but I really think I do. I originally saw an image online that was probably the stock colors but for some reason it looked kind of like a silver,mauve, beige flavor. Well, not much mauve and very light.http://www.motorcyclespecs.co.za/Gal...082%20%202.jpg

            Yep, very nice. Take off the luggage rack and windshield even better... in my opinion

              Yes, it would look better without the shield, luggage etc. but as far as functionality on trips, I love that stuff. I have quick release Krauser hard bags that I don't keep on it unless I need more storage.

                Very nice! I think painting the case savers satin black was a great idea.
                The only thing needed, while I'm being critical, is to replace the front brake lines and get the full benefit of the twin pot calipers.
                Common sense has become so uncommon that I consider it a super power.

                  Probably need to upgrade all the brake lines, bet those are still the originals?

                        Has stainless steel brake lines. The outer sheaths could use some cleaning up but i can see the braid in there.

                          { BTW, what's with the road rash ? Had a look through that album when I clicked on the picture. Was that the deer thing ? }

                            Yes. I didn't even realize the link would get there. About 22 months ago now and all resolved accept maybe the concussion. Kind of hard to be objective about that.
