haha, I didn't read all of the replies, but I quickly realized I asked a stupid question and you guys were going to make me pay for it. Question withdrawn, please forgive me.

I don't know, maybe you could have looked around a bit more before asking but some of the most interesting stuff on this forum is when I see/hear someone using a technique/material that would never had occurred to me.

My father was a wood floor guy so I never had much experience with metal fabrication and how to seal porous metal. When I saw your question I was actually interested to see the answers.
