Anyone mount hardbags on a GS1150?

I want to do this, but don't know exactly how just yet.

    Any particular kind of "hardbags"?

The July, 2009 Bike of the Month was an '83 1100ES that had 1100GK bags grafted on.
I liked the concept enough to do the same thing with my 850G, but that 1100 really looks good with them.

It would obviously require a bit of custom fabrication, but it wasn't much, in the case of my 850.

I have never worked on an 1150, so I don't know what frame brackets there might be on the rear.

I know a metal fabrication shop I could take it to. Very cool!

I can take one of my saddlebags off to show the framework that needs to mount to the bike.

If you have enough hard points that it looks feasable, I can get some specific measurements, too.

That would be great. I'll have a look at Bob's Cycle to see whether they have any. I found a pair on Ebay for $80, but shipping is $100.

That's GS Scott's GS! Maybe just shoot him a PM and he could help you out Pilot.

Steve's info should do me right, since even Scott's bike is different from mine. I won't have it done for a weeklong trip I'm taking the bike on in June, but I have a Wolfman bag that will do for that.
