    GSX550ES front guard on a 78 GS1000 ? anyone

    Hi

Has anyone fitted the GSX550ES (83 onwards) front guard or tried to fit one to a GS1000?

If it does do you have any pictures you could share ?

    Thanks
    Marty

          Let's verify terminolgy first.

By "front guard" do you mean the fender over the front tyre or the crash bars around the engine?

Either way, I would think the answer is "no", neither one would fit.

As it turns out they are not, the GSX is wider by at least a cm

I am meaning front fender, and yes the GSX fender is too wide. I will opt for the GSX1100 after confirming the width is ok - some threads on here say it should fit but I will check sizes first!
