    Gs1000e foot rest bushes

HI guys I'm wanting to get my footrests powder coated, just wondering can you take the rubber bushes out the centre were the bolt goes through

    thanks

"Bushings?" I don't think powder coating gets to a high enough temp to melt them, so you may be able to leave them in. Ask the guy who's doing it if it would be alright.

Push them out using a socket or similar and a vice/press. I did the ones on my 1000 before repainting the brackets.

They do push out and it's easy to make up a press with a couple of sockets and a nut and bolt. Make sure you don't get powdercoat where they fit or you'll never get them back in. Alternatively you can powdercoat with them still in and trim off the PC when they've been done - they don't melt.
