GS side cover interchange

Hello forum,

There seems to be some anecdotal evidence that the '80/'81 1100e side covers interchange with the same year 750 models. Can someone confirm this?

Also, if they do interchange is '80 and '81 the only years that do, or are there other years that interchange.

80 and 81 were the same. That is all. (2 year rectangular headlight models)
The 750 and 1100 parts are interchangeable.

Until I find a reasonably priced side cover I'm really going to have the appearance gods in a panty twist; I'm going to zip tie up the missing side of the damaged cover I have...

'82 750E covers are also the same.
You can find these new for like $55 the last time I checked. Unless you need emblems.
