    1981 maron paint

    I need enough paint to paint a fairing, I have a 1981 gs850g it's maron with the gold pinstripes. Any suggestions

      Take the bike to your local supply house and have the known maroon scanned and they can mix you some on the spot.

      I would rather trust my bike to a "QUACK" that KNOWS how to fix it rather than a book worm that THINKS HE KNOWS how to fix it.

        If you have an O'Reilly's near you they can scan your color and mix you a perfect match in a spray can for about 20 bucks. Worked beautifully for my son's rare copper colored Vette. If they have this stuff, others will, too.

            Is it the same color as the dark red on the 82 Gs1100e? If so, Chrysler Inferno Red is a near perfect match.

              I'm not sure if it's the same red as the E. it's really more of a burgundy, I found the name once but I didn't have any luck even with the name. I'll sure go to Orileys. And see what they can do, a cpl rattle cans would be a dream come true. And I'm sure I'll give you a good reason to make fun

                Look at this thread. If its Burgundy like the 78 1000C of mine the mix code is in the thread..scanned from the OEM pint before the repaint.
