Dirt bike or dual sport metal foot pegs

Now that my '80 Gs550l to scrambler build is complete, I'm looking for some metal foot pegs that will give my boots better traction.

does anyone have experience with this idea? Or familiar enough with dirt bike pegs to know if there is a type that will fit?

The size of the hole is important, no doubt. You also need to consider the mount as well, more than likely there's a tab, dog, ear etc that keeps it I'm place so it doesn't rotate. Heading into a local powersports shop and asking questions doesn't cost anything but a little time. Those are the guys with the most knowledge
