    1984 GS550e side panels

I have just bought a bike and the side panels and tail cowl do not meet as they should. It seems like the side panels are not long enough and also badly fitting around seat and tank. I'm thinking I have earlier side panels, could anyone confirm?
    Thanks

These are panels for the L models, which have a different frame arrangement/geometry. They're not correct for your bike.

Edit: The tail fits your frame, if I'm not mistaken. However, to my knowledge, the model with that tail wasn't sold in europe and is specific to N.A., so I can't help out much here. A member more versed in the GS model lineage will soon chime in.
