    Looking for decent replacement parts

I'm working on refurbishing a set of Mikunis for an 83 GS1100G engine. I found the recommended link to the O-Ring store and which ones I'll need, the jets should (fingers crossed) be cleanable.

What about gaskets, boots and theere is a diaphragm and one spring that definitely need to be replaced. Is there a known source of quality parts? I keep seeing posts to avoid the cheap Chinese kits, but anytime I search it's hard to filter those out, there's just so frigging many of them.

I have seen a couple NOS parts on ebay, is that the best route?

Z1 Enterprises has a decent selection of parts, you have found your source for O-rings, Babbitt's online has decent factory part prices.
'78 GS1000E, Dyna-S ignition, Dyna Green Coils, K&N pods, Delkevic SS 4-1 exhaust, Dynojet Stage 3 jet kit, Russell SS Brake Lines, Progressive suspension, Compu-Fire series Regulator 55402 and Advmonster cree LED headlight conversion.

If you just need some random parts, I'd post here in the WTB forum.

Gs850 all models.1980-84. gs1100 all models.1980-83. gs1000 all models.1980-82. You are looking at a complete setof oring kit for 1980-1986 Suzuki Mikuni BS (CV) carburetors (a total of 32 o-rings) and (4 washers).

Oh, I’ll definitely use the WTB forum as well. I just wanted to see if there were any specific stores/vendors that had a good reputation here. Trying to find actual quality pieces and parts can be tricky these days. From a quick search I can find a rebuild kit for a single carb around 40-50$ and then the next listing is a kit using almost identical pictures but for all four carbs and it’s only 30$. I don’t mind paying a reasonable amount for a decent part, but I don’t want to waste money on cheap but plentiful garbage.

What "o-ring store" are you referring to? As far as I'm aware, Robert's o ring website is no longer in operation unless someone else took over operating it?

If that's not the site you're referring to I'd be interested to know what you found instead?

I have heard that someone bought the operation and will be bringing it back soon.

I read through a few threads and there is a full list of the specific o-rings for the rebuild and a couple recommendations for theoringstore.com as having the correct sizes and materials etc.

Yes, I started the most recent thread on the topic: https://www.thegsresources.com/_foru...o-ring-sources
I purchased the o-rings from the ebay seller listed in that thread for my VM and BS carbs. I've used the VM kit and everything fit well, but they aren't labeled which can make things a little tricky. That was one huge advantage to Roberts kits, he had them all bagged and tagged.

Robert Barr was kind enough to post all the O-ring dimensions here: https://www.thegsresources.com/_foru...es-as-promised

I was curious of what o ring store link you were referring to because a while back when Robert mentioned he was closing down his store, there was talk of someone taking over it for him. Then it got shut down and I haven't heard of the outcome sense. I just checked the link again and the site is still shut down.
