This conversation was started in another forum so I moved it here cause I believe its carb related.
I re-oringed my carbs and noticed some small cracks on the engine side of the boots. Pretty stiff rubber and the clamps bottomed out and were slightly loose. It ran pretty good for a couple tanks of gas. Then while going down the freeway I felt a disturbance in the force. It starts and idles fine but has a hesitation below 4k. Above that it still feels right.
I replace the plugs and boots and clamps but that didn't do anything. 2&3 looked a little darker than 1&4. Same hesitation on PRI as ON and RES. I tried to check the pipes on start up and all four seem to get hot equally.
I have already decided to do a valve adj and then a sync. Still strikes me strange that it was running fine until that one day......
Where do I buy a Morgan ?
