If I didn't already have a working alternative to the original four-set, I'd look seriously at them.
However, any claim of them producing the same power as the four-set is total BS.

In a Facebook group I have personally seen the guy Murray absolutely trash a guy who had an 850 and his Murray carbs. Others chimed in at how he could be so rude and nasty to a customer who owns your product and is looking for tuning help.

For that guys horrible attitude alone I would avoid them honestly

If twin carbs produced equal or more overall power than the original four bank then Suzuki would have saved a bunch of manufacturing costs and fitted some themselves.

Exactly so, and the one-carb-per-cylinder thang wouldn't have caught on because it wouldn't have been necessary to get the most out of a production engine in a safe state of tune.
Of course, there was the marketing BS that went along with it.
It could be said that twin carbs were all that were necessary for the vast majority of bike users, but those models would have been left on the showroom floor by Fast Timmy and his mates.

For around $720 you can buy a set of Mikuni rs flatslides in 34mm or 36mm from ebay shipping included. Not much more than Murray’s and way better and easier to tune.

Murray's carbs generally have a good reputation on the CX500 forum, where the twin carb configuration is a natural fit. I have no experience with them on any bike, preferring to stay stock and do my own cleaning
