Okay guys i bought an ex drag bike 1979 gs 1000 , with carbs completely disassembled . NO worries i have done many 4 cylinder carbs over years . I am a European car tech here's the problem i managed to get the air screws ,out but threads felt tight .got new brass air screw it does not want to easily thread in to carb body . Anyone know what thread pitch it is ? maybe a 70 metric ,screw is 6.67 mm . any help greatly apricated . I was hoping to tap it to clean threads up

Since you are a tech, why not put a thread gauge on the threads?Ed
