      New retaining sleeve installed.
A number 27 drill bit is just smaller than the pin
Then lathed the outer diameter to be a press in fit.

At your request, I dug through my various carb spares boxes until I found one of those clips you wanted. I then responded back to your PM requesting a clip, saying I have one, and to send your address. After that...nothing. No response whatsoever. I even found a couple of different (new) accelerator pump diaphragms, thinking you could modify one to work in your application. And there you have it.

            Odd,
As i'm just now seeing a message in my inbox, yet I was online last night and in a new browser session.
            Thanks for looking and finding.
I would be interested in them still as who knows if my mods work.
Let me reply to your message.

Carbs back together. We will see how long they last. The accelerator pump diaphragm is more flexible now, but it needs a replacement.
              For kicks.
I gave it a shot of gas in the intake. (no gas tank on yet) and it cranked right over.
Will still replace the regulator. and probably with a Honda part if I find the appropriate one to replace the stock

SH775. If you don't understand the superiority of this unit, please do a search.

Runs on it's own carbs now with the tank.
I clear coated my tank after removing a dent.
Then today, spilled gas on it which ruined the clear coat instantly. POS. and it's an automotive clear too. double POS

Makes a HUGE difference in the battery being charged on how well it fires.
Running off a charger to an auto battery,
Will put on the real battery and take it around the block soon.

Needs tires, and an air filter. but close.
                  Thanks everyone.

Great progress. I had some compression socks I purchased, just to see if they'd help with foot pain. The pairs were held together with these little 1.5" long pieces of Aluminum, around .100" of an inch wide, and maybe a millimeter thick. I thought, these would make perfect clips. Soft enough to bend into shape, but firm enough to hold the shape. Weird, eh?

                      Thanks,
Seems to run well enough so far.
Few gas leaks here and there. New gaskets on order.
                      New tires too.
Good looking bike and things are polishing up well when I work on it.
I mistakenly used Duplicolor clear on the tank top and of course it just came right off with gas.
So I will wet sand the top of the tank, and lightly fill and color match the shadow black for a few scratches then mask up and Spraymax 2x it.
