Will an old style Kerker header from a 1981 GS1100EX fit a 1978-80', GS1000E model?

Good question. I've read on here they will bolt right up. But I took a 4 into 1 off a buddies GS1000E and put it on my "80" GS1100 and it did bolt up, to the eng., but didn't fit right the rest of the way back. Usually where the bolt up to the head isn't the issue, it's the bottom bend, they either hang to low, or are too tight. Depending on how good you are at fabrication, you should be able to remedy that situation with strategic cuts (not al the way through, enough to change the angle), and some Mig/Tig welding.
