    1983 GS650 carb question

Hello my 1983 GS650 carbs are Mikuni CV type and according to factory manual are B32SS. Schematics I can source aren't great. There are no O-rings (or washers) on the fuel adjusting screws on mine and I am thinking there should be. There is just a spring on my fuel screws and I think I need to at least put O-rings there. Can someone in the know please confirm? Thank you.

You can buy a full set of replacement orings for all 4 carbs for cheap from Nessism. And you can see his CV carb rebuild tutorial on BikeCliff's website (see link in my signature). Below the wiring diagram section, near the top of the right column. Look for the one by Mr. Nessism. It very clearly and thoroughly illustrates what goes where.

The O-ring and washer typically stay down in the screw passage when removing the screw. A small hook tool works well to fish them out. Replace the O-rings, but reuse the washer...and yes, the washer is critical. Without it the O-ring will get damaged.

They definitely weren't in there; I'm sure I didn't lose 4 washers and 4 O-rings when cleaning, and I can see down in there. I'll have to source some washers to keep the springs from damaging the O-rings, but I don't think this is my problem now, which I've detailed in a separate post.
