My GS850G 1980 has a slight flat spot at about3k. Carbs have been ultrasonic cleaned with all new jets and balanced. Any ideas?

Foam on the airbox side covers deteriorated? Did you use OEM jets, or aftermarket?Ed

I am never sure why things happen in this software but this particular thread was moved from the GS Discussion forum to this proper one for carb issues a couple of days ago. I have had various threads do the same thing: turn light blue and hang around for a while and then disappear. Haven’t been able to notice any kind of a patten.Last edited by pdqford; 03-02-2023, 04:03 PM.Jim, in Central New York State.
