making rubber pliable again with oil.

There was a thread I can't find that used, I believe WinterGreen oil to soften old rubber. I going a Kawasaki at the moment, and rubber is nice, but I would like to soak rubber stuff as I come across it. Can someone post a link or remind me what oil was used? Thanks

I've always used a 30% wintergreen oil / 70% xylene mixture with good results.

Just be aware that the rubber part will increase in size, like double in size! It will return to its normal size after removed from the solution and air dried for a day or so. And it will be softer!
