As found on a Craigslist purchase

    1995 GSX750FT BS36 CV carbs.

    Oh joy.

Folded over springs and one is broken.

Also - this spring was missing. It's job is to open 1-2 carbs as the cable hooks to 3-4.

and then we look at the needles, stuck in place. Slides have three holes in the bottom. Stuck in the wrong hole.

I actually started this engine like this and then wondered why fuel was spewing out backwards.

Lift the slide and didn't notice the needle... ah ummm...

After getting the bike to idle and discovering it runs well lets look at the clutch actuator ---- LOL omg.

My replacement is a chrome vanadium screw driver blank cut to size. It probably feels at home...

It surprising how well this engine runs. No noise. After replacing the clutch rod, it works well.

This engine is just for another project drag bike I have up my sleeve.

Hopefully something will come to fruition this weekend...

It's getting hard to find unmolested bikes and parts these days.

As many here know, I rebuild carbs. If I come across a decent set on ebay, for a fair price, I'll buy them up and fix and flip for beer money. I can't tell you how many times I've bought sets that looked decent on the outside, only to find carnage inside. Finding "surprises" nowadays is almost the norm, instead of the exception.
