    Airbox replacement

I bought a 1982 gs750t as a project it didn’t come with a Airbox I found one for an 1978 Suzuki gs750 will it fit on my 82 or are they slightly different

You can use these bits from an '82 GS750TZ:

    or from an '83 GS750TD:

The 750T is a 2-year only model. The only real differences were in paint color schemes, and a few bits here and there, like the front case of the airbox of the 82 has a ribbed shape at the bottom, and the 83 front case of the airbox does not have the ribs. But pretty much everything should fit between the 2 years.

    On Some sites like https://alpha-sports.com/omlib/usearchxref.php
you can put in a part number and it will show you fun things like, the rear airbox case of the 82-83 GS750T also is shared by some 1000 & 1100 models and the 83 750S.Some of the front cases likely match as well. You'll have to do some cross checking. I just wanted to get you started.
This could help broaden your search.

I do not think you would have much luck trying to fit anything from any pre-1980 GS750 onto your bike. Pre '80 750's had 8-valve engine. '80+ had 16-valve engines (yours). But everything in the intake from the carbs back could maybe be made to work/fit with some modification. You're kind of on your own there. I'd try real hard to find the proper parts.

Good on you for at least trying to put the proper air filtration back on this bike.

Would be nice to see another "T" saved.

There is a difference between the air boxes on CV of VM carbs.

I'll assume you have CV carbs and you should be able to use any airbox from a "G" series or post '79 motorcycle - post 8 valve engine.

On the engine side of the air box, Suzuki use to list the engines the air box would fit

        Current:
        1993 ZX11 - 2nd build in progress
        1977 GS750 (710 is getting closer)
        1998 Kawasaki Voyager - selling
        1998 Chevy C2500
        1999 Rav4
