My original petcock is broken. I dont want to buy a used oem, would rather buy new. Im trying to find a quality oem or aftermarket petcock that is compatible with my 83 gs1100ed. I searched the forum but could not find the information. I did find a link in a post to a petcock that works but the website didn't exist anymore. I know Pingel is a great option but I'd like to stay under $100 if possible. Does the forum, or a member, have an interchange list? For example, I can get an oem 1983 GS450L petcock for $70, and it looks similar to mine in the picture, but i have no idea if it actually fits.
Is there list of Factory petcocks that bolt right up to an 82/83 gas tank? I would prefer a non-vacuum, but would definitely use a vacuum if one fits nicely. I dont care if its a Suzuki, Honda, Yamaha, or Kawasaki as long as the mount holes line up, it seals, and the shape doesn't hit the tank or carbs etc. I don't mind re-routing gas and vacuum lines if the barbs on the petcock aren't in original position.
