    Broken jet problems

Running a stock '76/'77 GS750. The bike was idling fine but would stall every time you touched the throttle. Tore the carbs apart and found these two little jems...

The tips are stuck in the holes and are so far quite persistent on staying put. I have spares, but I'm worried about damaging the holes. Any suggestions?

Not jets but pilot fuel screws, the tips break off like that when they are screwed in too tight.

It is difficult to get the tips out without doing damage to the tiny ports they fit into. Compressed air sometimes works, as does a can of spray carb cleaner with the little tube to push the tip back down towards the float bowl. I have at times been able to poke the tip out with a needle but I have also ruined a few carbs that way.
    Good luck.
