I'm pretty sure it's ok, but I thought I'd ask, just in case. There's no harm in allowing some time to pass between dipping and re-assembly, right? It might be a few days until I get my o-ring kit in, but I'd like to get started. It'll give me something to do inbetween letting coats of paint dry.

Just be sure to rinse them with warm water, then use some carb spray through the passages (don't forget to wear your safety glasses) then following with compressed air.

Oh yeah, I'm a perfectionist. It'll be done right.
These things are much less intimidating that I originally thought. Opening them up has actually been pretty fun. With the exception of the few screws that I've stripped, even using my impact driver. Oh well, switching it all over to stainless allens anyways, so it's a slightly moot point.

after you dip and rinse and dry them I like to spray the bodies with some wd-40 and let them sit for a day and wipe off the excess, i find it helps keep the bodies a little cleaner and less likely to corrode.
