I removed my silencer to re pack and found no packing in it. (no wonder it was so loud) I was wondering if there were other options other than original or even motorcycle based? I thought some chimney material would work but unsure ? Was hoping to go to home depot to get something. I just wanted it allittle quieter not exactly quiet by all means.

Go grab a whole bunch of stainless 'chore boy' steel wool pads from your local store.
Or J.C. Whitney is selling stainless muffler packing for reasonably cheap.

The original packing on my Wolf pipe was fiberglass, so I repacked it last year with the same..... got it here if you want to go that route.Comment

Unless you ride 15 miles or more each time the packing will hold moisture & rot the pipes out. I take all the packing out of mine & have been running the same 4-1 for 28 yearsComment
